In Loving Memory of Alexander Bossuet Pinchinat (1990 - 2024)
Alexander "Big Al" Pinchinat, who lived life passionately and fully, passed away unexpectedly on September 27, 2024, at the age of 33. Born on December 26, 1990, Alex came into the world the day after Christmas, likely as a reminder that God wasn't done gifting just yet.
A graduate of Hollywood Christian Academy, Alex pursued web design at the Art Institute in Atlanta, which was only the beginning of his endless curiosity. Never one to sit still for too long, he also studied personal training, sports conditioning, and advanced nutrition through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. In true Alex fashion, he leveled up once again, earning a degree in Cyber Defense from Colorado University. It's safe to say that the ceiling did not exist for Al, and he was committed to inspiring others to live by the same.
Professionally, Alex was a force to be reckoned with. He led fitness instruction at one of Denver’s top community centers, leaving behind a large network of clients turned family that each hold an intimate and loving memory of Al. As a private trainer, he invested his own skills and passion into athletes and competitive bodybuilders to shape them into their peak forms. Known for his no-nonsense approach, Al was also the bright light at the door, big laugh in the room, and the embracing hug goodbye. It was his spirit that kept his clients inspired, motivated, and constantly transforming.
And transformation was his life ethos. Outside of his career, Alex's life was a blend of passion and adventure. A black belt in Taekwondo, a multiple award-winning bodybuilder, and an avid motorcyclist, he lived as though the open road was his playground, and transformation was his speed. But despite all that muscle and grit, Alex was a son, a brother, a cousin, an uncle, a nephew, a brother-in-law, a friend, and a partner. And as a young boy, he spoke of his dreams of living his life high in the mountains, and as a dreamer he made it come true. Whether hiking, fishing, or simply enjoying the true nature of Colorado, he approached life’s beauty with the same dedication he applied to everything else.
Alex leaves behind a family who will forever feel the absence of his energy and infectious spirit. His mother Michele Louis-Schiaffino, father Hashbaddana Pinchinat, stepfather Frederick Schiaffino, two sisters Tracy Morante and Rebecca Bryant, his little brother Nathaniel Pinchinat and his adoring nieces Gianna Morante and Chloé Bryant, along with his strong-willed nephew and godson Ethan Bryant, are holding on to their treasured memories. He also leaves behind his two dogs Layla and Frybread and his beloved partner, Ashley Shell, with whom he shared a lifelong love story that began in their teenage years. And to support them all, he leaves behind a loving grandmother and village of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, godparents, and lifelong friends, who will forever carry on his memory until they all meet again.
Though his time on earth was tragically short, Alex’s impact was anything but small. He lived unapologetically, loved deeply, and inspired many. Whether on two wheels, under a barbell, or with his loved ones by his side, Alex Pinchinat knew how to make every moment count.
Rest easy, Al—though, knowing you, you’re probably already heading to the mountaintop with King, your first dog-child to catch the sunset looking over your loved ones.
