Alourdes Bienaime

December 13, 1943 — August 13, 2024

Alourdes Bien-Aime beloved, daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend. Born in Haiti General Hospital on December 13, 1943. She was a daughter born to Claisira Amboisse and Vincent Bien Aime. She came to the US in January 1980 to seek a better life for her and her Children. She worked for Diplomat Hotel in 1982 and continued working until they closed their doors. She continued to work two jobs to support her family back in Haiti and to work to have all her children here with her in the United States. She worked long hours from as early as 5 am until the late evenings. She rarely had days off as she was a devoted friend and would take her friends to work and back. She was also a businesswoman no matter day or night she welcomed you into her home. She would sell you the clothes on her back if you asked.

Alourdes spent her free time telling jokes and sitting with friends. All her friends loved her. She was not someone who let her anger or feelings go unknown, she was outspoken and respected. Her favorite food after a long day was a hot plate of rice and beans. Alourdes will always be remembered for her incredible fashion sense hair and long nails always stayed done. She was a devoted church member and spent Sundays attending Notre Dame Catholic church in Miami, FL.

She married Origene Sejour and gave birth to five children—Her late son Tinason Sejour, Wilmayer Sejour, Marie Lourdes Sejour, Marie Betty Sejour, and her last-born Jacques Sejour. Alourdes continued to work hard and treated everyone like family. Whenever she returned to visit her native home, she cared for everyone regardless of age. She cared for her entire neighborhood and would share all with anyone. She would come to everyone’s defense and would make everything right. She never liked division between her children and always wanted unity. Alourdes was the only one that could bring everyone together under one roof. She was the life of the celebration.

In 2020, Alourdes fell ill but stayed strong for all her family and fought a long battle. She was always in high spirits and always kept everyone laughing and smiling. God called her home on August 13, 2024, to give her the rest she needed. Alourdes is survived by her children Wilmayer Sejour, Marie Lourdes Sejour, Marie Betty Sejour, and her last-born Jack Sejour.
