Anthony (Tony) Palmieri left us on July 27, 2020. He will be forever missed.
He is survived by his lovely wife of 66 years, Madeline Palmieri, oldest son Stephen and daughter-in-law Barbara, middle child/daughter Anne Marie and son-in-law Roberto and youngest son Anthony and daughter-in-law Kathy and their families including 8 grandchildren (Jessica, Jamie, Joey, Kristine, Stephen, Kimberly, Anthony, Nick) and 6 great grandchildren (Frankie, Jacob, Aaliyah, Christian, Ava and Stella).
Tony was born in the Bronx, NY on April 8, 1929 to Mr. Stephen Palmieri and Mrs. Maria Galliatti-Palmieri. He was raised with 7 brothers and sisters first in a “cold water flat” and then moved into the luxury of heat on White Plains Avenue. He was tough as nails as many were in the Bronx. He met the love of his life, Madeline, at Orchard Beach in the Bronx and said “I’m going to marry her.”
He said he fell in love the first time he met her. They moved their small family of 5 to Brentwood on Long Island in November of 1966. It was a wonderful working-class town with strong family values. He spent most of his working years in the construction industry and his last years on Long Island as a painting contractor. He spent many afternoons keeping his house picture perfect and “scheming” new upgrades. His house was always the brightest at Christmas and he loved his cars including the many Cadillacs he and Madeline drove.
Tony and Madeline moved to Boca Raton, FL in 1989 where Madeline resides today. He was blessed with a large extended family and loved his time with them dearly. He was known as a great story teller and quite the “character.”
We love you Dad/Popi. You will be forever in our hearts.
