Obituary for
Anthony Spanich
Anthony Spanich, 82, of Coral Springs, Florida passed away peacefully on February 10 after a long illness.
Anthony was formerly from Swoyerville, PA, where he was born and moved to Wilmington, DE where he lived and worked for most of his life.
He is survived by his wife Teresa of 62 years; his two sons David Spanich and spouse Diane of Coral Springs; and Christopher Spanich, M.D. of Tampa. He is also survived by his two loving grandsons, David and Matthew Spanich of Coral Springs and many nieces and nephews.
Anthony was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. Much of his life was devoted to helping his family and truly enjoying his sons and the many sporting activities of his grandsons. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and was known to tell some incredible stories. His personality was larger than life.
He was a proud member of Local #542 International Union of Operating Engineers (Philadelphia) for 60 years. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. A Mass of Christian burial will be Saturday, February 18 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Andrews Catholic church in Coral Springs.
