Obituary: Bruce S. Purvin Sr.
February 4, 1949- March 14, 2023
Bruce Steven Purvin passed away peacefully surrounded by his children on 3/14/2023 after his battle with lung cancer.
Bruce was originally from Lyndhurst, NJ and moved to South Florida with his wife Patricia Purvin in 1979.
He was a member of the United States Marine Corp. He served for a few years before his children were born.
Bruce owned his own company in the wallpaper/painting business. After retirement he enjoyed taking many cruises with his wife and friends.
On Sundays you would catch him on the golf course. He also enjoyed time in the casino here and there. His favorite thing to do was spending time with his children and four grandchildren, watching them grow up.
He is the son of Edward Purvin (deceased) and Katherine (Eschenbrenner) Purvin (deceased). He has three siblings, Edward Purvin (deceased), Thomas Purvin and Kathy (Purvin) Pandorf.
He had four children, Bruce S. Purvin Jr, Kimberly A. (Purvin) Rublaitus, Bryan S. Purvin (deceased) and Kelly A. Purvin. He has four grandchildren: Emma Purvin, Kate Rublaitus, Luca Purvin and Kella Rublaitus
A military service will be held at South Florida National Cemetery on April 21, 2023 @ 10:45. 6501 FL-7, Lake Worth, FL 233449. Followed by a luncheon at Gianni’s Italian Restaurant. 1601 E. Atlantic Blvd. Pompano Beach, FL 33060 at 12:30/1:00.
