On January 25th, 2024 Cindy My To passed suddenly in her residence in Florida. She was born in Philadelphia on March 27th, 1995. She spent her early years in South Philadelphia where her parents, Scott To and Judy Tran, owned a grocery store at the Italian Market. She often helped her parents with the store and learned to become independent when they were busy. In the summer and winter breaks, she and her younger sister went to Camp Hill, PA to visit her late grandmother. She cherished every moment with her and they were best friends. Her parents eventually moved the family to Deptford, NJ where she spent most of her life.
Cindy was predeceased by her paternal grandmother, Kieu Truong. She is survived by her father Scott To; mother Judy Tran; sisters Michelle Infusino (To) and My Lien Nguyen (Tran); brother Keong Tran; nephews Preston, Liam, Austin, and Zayn Nguyen; and many loving uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.
Cindy graduated from Deptford High School where she grew her love and passion for engineering and playing tennis. She furthered her education at Rowan University with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering to make an impact to people’s livelihood someday. Her college degree took her to Florida where she worked at several biomedical companies over the years supporting their work in medical devices. In Florida, she settled in the Coral Springs and Coconut Creek area where she frequently visited the beach to take in all the Earth had to give her. Her outgoing personality allowed her to make friends quickly. She began to build her life there. Though, she always flew back home whenever an important event was happening even if it meant that she could only be there for less than 24 hours. She also continued her loyalty to the Philadelphia Eagles wherever she went.
Cindy was a strong-willed, loving, and carefree young woman who always put others before herself and reminded everyone that life is too short to be angry or to be taken too seriously. She enjoyed binge-watching TV series, hanging out with her friends and family, cooking Asian dishes, and going out to eat with friends. Her laugh was contagious. It was so unique to her and what everyone remembers her by. She was funny and could make you laugh until you cried.
Cindy made an impact on every single person she met. Her smile, laughter, and positive energy were felt immediately. She cared and loved her friends and family whole-heartedly without judgement and without ever expecting anything in return. Her love was unwavering and constant. She will be painfully missed by all of those who loved her. The lives of all her friends and family will never be the same. May she rest in peace and be in our hearts forever.
