Curtis Christopher Wayne Mitchell of Manassas, VA passed away quietly on November 16, 2018, in Springfield, South Carolina.

Born on August 18, 1961, to Irvin and Dolly Theresa Mitchell, he was an Engineer and avid outdoorsman. He graduated from a Fatima College in Trinidad WI and Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida.

Curtis is survived by his mother; daughter Shannon Mitchell; seven sisters Lesley Mitchell of Trinidad, Rowena Daniels of Trinidad, Beverly Huyghue of Colorado, Carol Maree of Florida, Marva A. Mitchell of Florida, Celeste Mitchell Byars of Connecticut and Nicole Mitchell of Florida; two brothers Ronald Mitchell of United Kingdom and Vaughn P. Mitchell of Trinidad; as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Irvin C. Mitchell.

Curtis loved spending time with family and friends cooking, laughing and dancing and will be missed dearly.

A Celebration of Life will be held on November 29, 2018 from 5 pm – 9 pm at Serenity Funeral Home 1450 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale FL 33068.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for November 30, 2018, 10 am at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Roman Catholic Church 1400 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale FL 33068.

Burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, located next to the church.
