Daniel Frank Moretti

Daniel Frank Moretti, born January 25, 1944 in Norfolk, Virginia went to his eternal rest on March 22, 2017 in Margate, Florida at home with his family by his side.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Sheryl Moretti, his daughter, Rachel Swallow, and his grandchildren, Emma and Hayden Swallow.

Dan was ordained as a permanent deacon to the Archdiocese of Miami on January 9th 1990.
He faithfully served the parish of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Pompano Beach, Florida until his health failed.
For a period of time he also coordinated the Prison Ministry in Broward County for the ADOM.

Dan had a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and was the Public Works Director for the
Village of Pinecrest until his retirement in January of 2015.

He was active in the American Public Works Association, a member of several South Florida branches,
and previously the President of the State of Florida Chapter of the APWA.

Dan was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, he took tremendous pleasure in being with his
family and he took tremendous pride in their accomplishments.

Dan loved life; his gregarious wit, his quest to understand the world and people around him, and his sincere smile were always apparent even though he suffered severe pain for years.
His kind heart and gentle manner contrasted his large stature; his faith called him to serve those in need
In many ways and over many years.

Heavenly peace to a faithful servant and an exceptional man.

A Celebration of Life Visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 5:00PM-8:00PM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, located at 3331 NE 10th Terrace, Pompano Beach, FL 33064

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10:30AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church.

Serenity Memorial Chapels has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
