Smith, Eileen Elizabeth (Lynch) age 84, of Margate, FL passed away on Thursday July 23, 2020.
Our beautiful Eileen was born on August 18, 1935 in Elmira, NY. She was predeceased by her Irish parents Kathleen and James Lynch; Uncle Cornelius O’Reilly; her loving husband George R. Smith, Jr.; mother-in-law Agnes Smith; and brother-in-law Wilfred Barnstead. Eileen is survived by her sister-in-law Kathleen Stormer, of Altoona, PA; beloved children, daughter Elizabeth (Robert) Silva and son James P. (Holly) Smith of Boca Raton; sisters Anna Mae (Donald) Evans of Fuquay Varina, NC, Kathleen Theresa Barnstead of Fairport, NY, and Rose Marie Drumm of Rochester, NY; brother James (Louise) Lynch of Corning, NY; 7 grandchildren, Brian and Robert Silva, Heather (Robert) Rhodes, Katelyn (Jonathan) Santiago, Sophia, Sarah and Sydnee Smith; 5 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends; and her treasured pets Rocky and Chewy.
Eileen was a graduate of Southside High School (1953) and the Jean Summers Business School in Elmira, NY.
Eileen will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends, and always remembered for her gentle soul and pure heart.
There are no prior calling hours. A private funeral will be held by the family at the Serenity Funeral Home, North Lauderdale, FL. Interment will be at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, North Lauderdale, FL.
