Francis Franklyn Samaroo

Francis Franklyn Samaroo, age 73, passed away on December 30th, 2024, in Coral Springs, Florida.

He was born on December 13th, 1951, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago to parents Alfred Samaroo and Utina Balgobinsingh. He graduated from Belmont Boys Intermediate School. 

He was a great family man, a loving husband, a hard worker, and dedicated to his spirituality. He married Noreen Joseph on December 26th, 1976, and the couple had five children together: Melissa, Anniza, Felicia, Ashton, and Alvin, along with fifteen grandchildren.

In 1988, Francis and his family moved to Sunrise, Florida, and after working multiple positions, he accepted a position as a Courier with the City of Ft. Lauderdale, where he worked until his retirement.

He was a social, active person who was deeply involved in church and community. He enjoyed repairing and maintaining cars, playing a game of All Fours with family and friends and spending time with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Noreen, married in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago of 48 years.

His brothers include Errol, Brian (deceased), David, Tony (deceased), Wilfred, and sisters Pamela, Lynette, Carol, and Linda. 

His family and friends will always remember him as a kindhearted, gracious, and humble person who always enjoyed a good laugh. 

A funeral is scheduled for January 13th, 2025, from 10am to 1:30pm.
