Margate

It’s with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Fritz C. Massa Sr on March 4, 2025. He was a beloved spouse, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Ketly Massa, and his children from a previous marriage Tatiana, Kevin, and Fritz Jr. He also welcomed his son-in-law, Steven, and daughter-in-law, Monique Massa, whom he loved. Being around his devoted dog, Benji, and his four grandkids, Ethan, Lucas, Logan, and Ryan, provided him happiness. He leaves behind many siblings, nieces, nephews, and relatives, all of whom will remember his memory and the love he shared with them.

Fritz Sr was born in Cap Haïtien, Haiti, looking for greener pastures. Fritz Sr eventually left for Montreal, Canada, and then migrated to Brooklyn, New York. Fritz Sr worked hard to improve his life, first getting a job as a picture framer and then attending trade school while he wasn't working. Several years later, due to economic conditions, Fritz Sr pivoted, accepting a position as a school bus operator for Atlantic Express. Fritz Sr worked tirelessly to achieve the American dream, building a legacy through property ownership and eventually retiring and relocating to Florida.

Fritz loved the NY Yankees, never missing a game. His interest in baseball grew as he watched his eldest son, Fritz Jr., play. One of his favorite memories is when Fritz Jr. surprised him with tickets to a Yankees game. Fritz had a deep affection for canary birds and enjoyed breeding them and leveraging his picture framer experience to build bird cages.

Later in life, he found love and companionship, eventually marrying Ketly Massa, with whom he shared some joyful years. Ketly stood by Fritz Sr with unwavering love and devotion, ensuring he was always comforted and cared for. Together, they created lasting memories, offering each other endless support and companionship.

A man with strong principles, physical strength, and discipline. Though his journey on earth has ended, his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
