Giuseppe Nocera

With heavy hearts, we share the news of Giuseppe "Joe" Nocera's passing on January 6, 2025, at the age of 96 at his home in Sunrise, Florida. He was a devoted husband, beloved father, grandparent "Nonno" and great-grandparent "Bisnonno" always prioritizing family above all else.

 He will be remembered for his love of his very large Italian family that lives in Italy, Brazil, and the United States. He was a stone mason who loved eating home-made Italian food, Mario Merola music, playing cards with his friends, and watching game shows.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Mary; children, Antonietta "Toni" (Steve) and Paulo (predeceased by his wife Aida); grand children, Jessica (Trent), Alex (Sara), Veronica and Sofia; great grand children Elliott, Truett, Charlie, Dillon, Melody and Maeve; and many nieces and nephews. 

He is predeceased by his parents, Paolo and Antonietta; brother, Armando (Silvana); and sisters, Carmelina (Giuseppe) and Maria (Amedeo).

Services will be held at Serenity Funeral Home & Cremation and Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cementary located at 1450 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale, Florida 33068. Visitation hours will be Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 4 to 7 pm. A mass will be held at the chapel on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at 10 am with an entombment to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association in his memory.
