Heidi S. Schlesinger

Heidi Schlesinger was born to Arlene and John May in Baton Rouge, LA on May 20, 1962. She died at the age of 54 on November 6, 2016 in Tamarac, Florida, from complications of malignant melanoma. Heidi was a courageous woman who battled her illness with grace and dignity.

Heidi was the beloved wife of David Schlesinger; devoted mother to Jonathon Hamilton, and William and Daniel Schlesinger; loving daughter-in-law of Thelma Schlesinger, and caring sister-in-law to Barry and Virginia Schlesinger. She is survived by her brother Justin.

Prior to moving to Florida, Heidi was a professional baker in Houston, Texas for 18 years. For the past 21 years, prior to her passing, Heidi was employed by the School Board of Broward County as a Cafeteria Manager at the Challenger Elementary School where she fed hundreds of children every day.

In addition to her work in the the community, Heidi was a loving homemaker; an extraordinary cook and baker; a voracious reader; an avid gardener and a lover of nature.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 10, 2016 from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM, at Serenity Memorial Chapels, located at 5229 Coconut Creek Parkway, Margate, Florida 33063 (754)205-4640
