Jean Beth Brown Maidlow
Jean Maidlow passed away April 8, 2013 in N. Lauderdale, FL after a short illness. She was born January 16, 1948 in Port Huron, MI, the daughter of the late Cliff and Catherine Brown of Yale, MI. She grew up in Yale where she graduated from Yale High School in 1966 and was active in many activities including cheerleading and Girl Scouts. In 1965 she was a representative to the Girl Scout Senior Round Up in Farragut Wildlife Area in Idaho. She attended Port Huron Junior College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in finance from Barry University in Florida.
She worked as a bank manager and a mortgage underwriter during her career. She loved the beach, and
all kind of animals especially cats, dogs and birds. In 2001 her neighborhood awarded her their 1st ever “Neighborhood Ambassador” award for her kindness and assistance to the people in her neighborhood.
She leaves behind her brother, David Brown and his wife Betty and their 2 sons, Alex and Clifford of Yale, Michigan and her sister Cathy and her husband Stu Green and their 2 daughters, Nikki Phillips and Kim Hope and Anthony Hope and 3 grandnieces, Katie, Sara and Addy of Atlanta, GA. as well as many friends.
Jean was cremated and her ashes will be spread on the beach she loved so much.
