Jerry Lee Lopez

Redeemed by the death and resurrection of Jesus, adopted into sonship of the Most High God, an eternal husband-Carrie’s forever love, father to his one and only pretty girl Jasella, and a passionate animal lover passed away 10/21/2020.

Jerry was born December 18, 1974 in New Bedford, Massachusetts to Efrain Lopez and Charleen Ellis. He lived out his life in South Florida where he made many friendships that lasted a lifetime, met his wife in middle school and married her right out of high school, fathered a beautiful daughter, and became the best pool technician he could be working with Shamrock Pools for over ten years.

He was passionate about stray cats, and always made sure to love on them and feed them every morning at work. He brought two of them home with him and gave them a safe, loving home. He adored his dogs Peanut, Carmelo and Taz, along with his grand puppy Teddy too! So many kisses and cuddles, and kind words, they truly were his best friends. One of his favorite things every week was to buy them a new toy just so they can tear it up in five minutes, but he loved every minute of it!

He was a child of God and told many people about the Lord, leading some to Christ. He had a soft, gentle heart toward those who suffered in this life. He always said God told me, “I will never leave you nor forsake you!”

He was very affectionate and gave “the best” hugs! He was a very animated speaker, and would capture you up with his words and gestures. He loved music and you would often find him, let’s say “singing” in the mornings.
He loved to take vacations, go fishing, and watch movies where it was common to catch him talking back to the tv so caught up in the adventures.

He is so loved by God, all his family, and all his friends. He has gone on ahead to our eternal home with the Lord, and is alive with Christ! He has left behind his wife Carrie, his daughter Jasella, his mother Charleen, his father Efrain, his brothers Efrain and Dominic, and his sisters Kelley and Evey.

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14 For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15 For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
