To our beloved parents:
Mom and Dad,
How fitting it seems to be that you would pass from this world just days apart
from one another and just days shy of your 68th wedding anniversary.
Your life was a testimony of God‘s love and faithfulness. You showed us what
self-sacrificial love looked like and the words “till death do us part” meant.
We will be forever grateful to the two of you for all you have given us. You have
left a legacy of love that will continue within our family for generations to come.
Every joyous memory we shared will be forever within our hearts.
Today we say goodbye to you, our beloved parents, mentors, and best friends
knowing that you only pass from our sight, not our hearts, and you pass into the
loving and merciful arms of God our Father. We will strive to continue to live
each day in a way that would to make you proud. Though there will be an
inexpressible feeling of emptiness and loss by no longer having you
physically here with us, we have the comfort and joy knowing you will
forever remain within the depths of our hearts and will continue to
share and be part of everything we do in life.
Therefore, in faith, we will continue to journey on this road that now is before
us desiring to accomplish the work God has called each of us to do.
And all the while we will be holding within us that joyful hope and feeling of
deepest longing for the day we will once again be reunited in heaven for
all eternity.. Oh what a reunion that will be!
So now our beloved parents, after living a life of selfless love, in fighting
the good fight, and running the race to the finish line, may you hear those
beautiful words “Well done my good and faithful servants,
Now at last enter into the joy of your Master’s house.”
With Eternal Love and gratitude, Your Children and grandchildren.
“Eternal rest grant unto them, Oh Lord, And may perpetual light shine upon
them May their souls and the souls of all the faithful departed,
through the mercy of God, rest in peace.” Amen.
“For it is dying that we are born into eternal life”– St Frances
