Jose Miguel Enriquez Jr. (a.k.a Papa Mike), was manager at Bokampers Sports Bar & Grill and
resident of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, peacefully passed on September 5th, 2020 at the age of 61,
while home sleeping in the company of his beloved dog and best friend Bruno.
Mike is survived by his 3 children, Maylene Enriquez Escribano, Diane Rojas and Michael
Anthony Enriquez; his 4 grandchildren, Karina Maylene Rivera, Ariana Escribano, Kaleb
Wilfredo Escribano and Paul Fransisco Benedicto Jr.; His 3 Sisters, Migdalia Rodriguez, Delia
Enriquez Prieto and Antonia Enriquez; His nieces & nephews, Eileen Cambrero, Salena
Ibrahim, Bobby Silva and Jamil Ibrahim; and numerous cousins, family and friends. He is
predeceased by his father Jose Miguel Enriquez Sr. & mother Hilda Soto Enriquez.
Mike was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on June 15th, 1959. He played football at Warren
Harding High school.
Mike was a devoted father, grandfather and Marine. He enjoyed cooking for his friends and
family, and having a nice cold “Papa Mike” (The Drink). Mike lived his life to the fullest everyday.
He spent his days surrounded by love from his family, friends and loyal companion Bruno. He
spent his last day as he always did, sleeping comfortably with his loving dog by his side. He will
be deeply missed and left his mark in all of our lives.
A Memorial Service is scheduled for 7 p.m. on Friday, September 11th, 2020 at Bokamper's
Sports Bar & Grill in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
