Joseph Fraticelli Jr. (2/23/47 – 8/22/24)
Joe was born in NYC, and raised in Centereach, Long Island. He became a citizen of the world when he went into the Navy and traveled the Pacific on the Enterprise.
Joe is survived by his wife of 47 years, Arlene, his sister Louise and brother and sister-in-law Richard and Patti.
Joe had 3 amazing careers. First as a saxophone player in the Admiral’s Band, and later, in groups like Aesop’s Fables in NY and the Bravados in FL.
He went back to school to pursue an art career, and worked in Ad Agencies creating TV commercials, and package design. Then he was motivated toward his 3rd career, as a Personal Chef, preparing intimate anniversary dinners, boat parade celebrations and retirement parties for 100!
Joe loved playing golf with his buddies, and playing softball. He created a series of memorable sports paintings in boxing, baseball, football, and golf . He worked on a boxing magazine, published a Van Magazine, and a set of Boxing Trading Cards.
Joe looked for opportunities to participate in, like the Lupus Awareness Campaign in honor of his mother.
I would say Joe‘s greatest gifts were his empathy and warmth, sense of humor and “Dancing in the Kitchen”
