Julia Maisonave

Our parents give us life. Our grandparents give us a sense of who we are and where we come from.

It’s with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Julia Maisonave, who peacefully passed away on November 13, 2024, at the age of 82.

Native of Isabela, Puerto Rico, Julia met the love of her life and beloved husband, Monserrate Maisonave of 30+ years. Julia was a cherished Matriarch, she was known for her unwavering kindness, delicious cooking, and warmth she brought to every gathering. A loving mother, who took pride in filling her home with love and good vibes. She loved her salsa music and knew how to cut a rug when she was ready.

Julia was predeceased by her husband, Monserrate Maisonave; son Carlos Maisonave; her brother Nestor Juarbe; and her sister Almina Ortiz.

She is survived by her 5 children, Monserrate Maisonave, Carmen Maisonave, Janette Vellon, Jose Maisonave, and William Maisonave; 22 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 4 great great-grandchildren; 1 Son-in-Law, 2 Daughter-in-laws; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Although Julia is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.
