Julio Merced Jr., passed away on June 16, 2024 leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion and commitment. Julio was born on July 4, 1943, in Puerto Rico,

Julio is survived by his beloved spouse Teresita, children Maritza and Julio Armando, granddaughter Gabriela Frias, son-in-law Nelson Frias, and sisters Amparo and Vicki. He will also be greatly missed by his nephews Juan Guillermo Diaz, Luis Carlos Diaz, Carlos Mario Diaz, and Santiago Diaz. Additionally, he is survived by the mother of his children, Evelyn Crespo.

 Julio's life was marked by his unwavering dedication to fighting for the rights and well-being of his fellow workers.

Throughout his career, Julio made a profound impact on those around him, advocating tirelessly for fair wages and safe working conditions. His passion for justice inspired many and earned him respect within the industry.

Julio Merced Jr.'s kindness, determination, and advocacy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace knowing that his passion for justice lives on in the hearts of those he inspired.
