Leonie Toussaint Born June 25, 1937 in Haïti and raised in the outskirts of a beautiful town name Labrousse. She was the third daughter of the six children of Ladeese and Leonard. She was loved by her parents and siblings Varon, Nekaire, Bouloune, Veronique, et Ana. She was raised to live in harmony with her self and others. Since at a young age she was taught about God and grew to honor and serve our Lord Savior Jesus-Christ. Although she was a true catholic, she rooted herself in the holy scriptures and yearned for a relationship with her Savior. She was a strong woman, a loving mother, she cherished her grandchildren Stephanie and Edison. She was generous, selfless, humble, hard working, independent, and courageous through it all. She loved and wanted everyone to be happy, her nieces Lili, Wilda, Marjorie, Fifi, Jeanne, Michaële, Kenty, Kenia, and nephews Lionel, Dino, Pierre, Narcisse, Blanc, Rousseau, Roland fils, Pascal, Ménard, all of whom brought her a sense of pride and joy.
A woman of creativity, she found love in sowing, cooking, gardening, and she taught her granddaughter how to read and speak creole. She raised her only daughter, Gerty with tough love and a soft heart.
