Marianne Verzaal passed away peacefully October 1st at the age of 94. She was born in Springfield, Ohio to Boyd and Mary Campbell. She is predeceased by Roger Cain, her loving husband of 44 years, her kind daughter Vicki Stapp & wonderful son in law, Ron Stapp. Gerard Verzaal, her second husband that she was fortunate to meet after Roger’s death. Her daughter in law, Fong, who’s smile always lit up the room. They were all awaiting her arrival in heaven.
Marianne is survived by her son, Robert Cain, daughter Laura (Mike) Povich, grandchildren Sally (Liz Perdue) Bethart, Andy (Deborah) Bethart, Jennifer Povich, Carolyn (Tyler) Kimbro. 6 great grandchildren. Cristina Price and Janita Bryner, her friends that became family. She was a talented writer and painter, she excelled in sports and was an avid tennis player into her 60’s.
Marianne loved to read and was an excellent bridge player. She was a devoted Catholic and loved volunteering for the church and singing in the choir, her faith was her anchor. She loved her cats Miss Belle and Daisy, they are waiting at Rainbow Bridge for her. Marianne appreciated everyone that helped her. Mom, Marianne, will truly be missed but it was a life well lived.
