Mary R. Pipa

Mary Rea Pipa, long-time resident of Elysburg, PA, died peacefully in the loving presence of family on Jan. 21, 2025 in Davie, FL of complications from a stroke. She was 91.Mom will be missed by her 7 children, 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

After raising her children, Mary Rea became passionate about tennis, not only competing and winning gold medals at the Senior games but promoting the sport in her hometown, coaching the local high school's boys and girls teams to championships, and bringing Billie Jean King to the area to participate in a fundraising event for the American Cancer Society.

Services will be held at Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church in Elysburg, Pennsylvania on Jan 30, 2025 with interment afterwards at All Saints Catholic Cemetery.

 In lieu of flowers, please offer donations to either Planned Parenthood or North Shore Animal League America.
