Merle M. Dunbar

Merle M Dunbar, age 91, born in Jersey City, formerly of Brick NJ, passed away peacefully at home where she currently resided with her daughter and son-in-law in Coconut Creek, Fl, on July 15th 2022. 

Merle married her husband Harold Dunbar September 22, 1951 and celebrated 54 years of marriage before his death in 2005. She worked for the township of Brick tax office, where she retired after 30 years. She spent her retirement years traveling extensively with her husband Harold throughout the US and other countries. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Merle was predeceased by her parents Walter and Mary Wahlers, her husband Harold, and daughter-in-law Darcy Dunbar. 

Merle is survived by her 3 children, daughter Deryl Marsch and husband John, son Craig Dunbar and Teri Brennan, and son Keith Dunbar and wife Karen. 6 grandchildren, Justin (Gina) Marsch, Jason (CoryJo) Marsch and Jordan (Gina) Marsch, Roxine Dunbar, Tonya (David) Molhem, and John Dunbar, and 9 great grandchildren. 

A committal service with interment to follow will be held at Ocean County Memorial Park, 1722 Silverton Road, Toms River on Monday August 1st at 11:00 am . In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choice in Merle Dunbar's  Name.
