Nancy Jeane Wills

Nancy Jeane Wills, age 66, of Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, passed away on September 20, 2024. She was born and raised in Miami, FL on December 28, 1957. 

Nancy graduated from Southwest Miami Senior High. She spent most of her working years in the restaurant business and as a caretaker. She enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, shopping, playing bingo, slot machines, making new friends, fishing with family, going out for seafood dinners, and collecting Precious Moments and Mickey Mouse figurines. 

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Marilyn H. and Ralph C. Wills of Old Town, FL, her brother, Bruce A. Wills of Newport, TN and one nephew. 

She is survived by her children, Sandi Occhiogrosso of Old Town, FL, Gina Occhiogrosso of Durham, NC, Francesco Occhiogrosso Jr. of Lauderdale Lakes, FL, a step-daughter, Kelly Plaitis of Fort Pierce, FL, and her grandson, Steven J. Hussey Jr. of Raleigh, NC. 

She is also survived by her brothers William (Rosanne) C. Wills of Miami, FL, Brian (Amanda) H. Wills of Hyde Park, UT, John C. Wills of Old Town, FL, sister-in-law, Judy L. Wills of Newport, TN, as well as life long friend, whom she considered her sister, Esther Hendler of North Miami Beach, FL, 4 nephews, 6 nieces, and countless friends. 

The family would like to give many thanks to the staff at St. Joseph Towers of Lauderdale Lakes, FL. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Heart Association.

Arrangements have been made by Serenity Funeral Home and Cremation. A celebration of life will be held at a future date.
