Obituary for Olga Mae Bethel-Koval

In the beautiful city of Nassau Bahamas, on April 9th 1958 a lovely little girl was born to the parents of Roland and Laura Bethel (both deceased). They called her Olga Mae Bethel. She was a delightful child and a joy to the household, being the last of six children. She had four sisters and one dashing brother.

This young lady was a gem to all she came in contact with. Once you met her you would never forget her. She loved to sing, dance and travel. She loved people and there wasn't an event that she missed.

Graduating from CC Sweetings High School in Nassau, this bahamian diva went on to obtain an associates degree from Clevland's Community College. She also spent some time studying at the District of Columbia University.

In June of 1988 Olga was blessed with a baby girl Natasha. In June of 1996 she was blessed with a second baby girl Nicolette. When you saw Olga, she always had her kids with her.

Olga worked with her brother Garth at Flamingo Cafe for about three years. She was his boss even though he owned the place. Naturally she had an entrepreneurial spirit. She was a dresser, some of the most exclusive clothing, the most beautiful bahamian model, you ever wanted to see. Olga was very athletic, doing track and field, volley ball, basketbell and soccer.

She grew up in the Church of God Choir on Quintineally street (Southland Church of God) and then later moved to Southland on Soldier Rd. She loved to Joke around, clean and cook. You've never tasted "Corn n Rice" like hers. She was a very positive person and had a lot of Faith. If she believed in something nothing could shake her faith.

This faith brought her and her daughters to South Florida in 2005, where she became a member of First Baptist Church of Ft Lauderdale. During her walk with God she met her husband George Koval in 2005 and they were married in 2010. She loved her children and that is the life and legacy of Olga Mae Bethel-Koval.
