Patrick Peters

Patrick “Pete” Peters passed away on June 18, 2014 after an unanticipated illness.

He is survived by his wife, Denyse, his sons, Patrick and Trevor, a sister Madelyn and five grandchildren.

At the time of his death Pete served as Regional Manager of the Fort
Lauderdale office of Madsen, Kneppers & Associates, Inc. Construction Consultants & Engineers.

FOR THE LOVE OF PETE:

It is difficult to gather into simple words the completeness of Pete.
A man of expansive knowledge, capable of unwavering focus, whose broad arms
and large heart never failed to greet those he loved with a solid hug.

His welcoming demeanor made strangers instant allies, while his steadfast dedication turned peers into lifelong friends. Always happy in the little moments, whether brushing his granddaughter’s hair, pounding the Western States trails one foot at a time for a hundred miles, sailing downwind through the Golden Gate from a hard fought weather mark, in quiet conversation giving insightful advice, or just silently watching a sunset over the transom of a simple boat with those he loved.

On gentle winds and smooth seas he sails now out to sea. Broad grin, sparkling blue eyes,
strong hands and an open heart are the legacy we all will remember.
It is impossible to capture in words the love we carry for Pete or the love he carries for us.
