Simone Victor was born in Port au Prince Haiti to mother Carmelia Francois and Father Louis Fils Victor on February 18 1940. Third child of a family of twelve; Simone proceed her primary education at Externa La Providence, later on attended Lycee des Jeunes Filles for secondary school, and completed her formal studies at l’Ecole Elis Du Bois (Breuvere).
Born and raised as a catholic she believed that her faith was one of the most important aspects of her life. Never married nor had biological children; Simone took upon herself to help her parents and financially provided, raised and educated her 5 youngest siblings; then later down her path adopted many of her nieces and nephews. Prominent and respected professional Ms Victor advanced very quickly in the diplomatic and corporate spectrum; where she later fulfilled her duties as the Chief of Operation with Wilson Sport American Company, then retired after 20 years of service.
In 1991 after starting her retirement Simone unquestionably ventured and joins her relatives in South Florida. A woman that enjoys life and indulged in fashion, toiletry, makeup, jewellery, music and vacations; she took the time to travelled between Canada, United States, and the Islands until she decided to formally settle in Florida with her younger sister. One of the matriarchs of the family she was known as Mother Theresa and a wise elder of who took care of everyone included the younger generation of nieces and nephews.
She was resilient, stood strong on her ground and firm on what she believes. She would never let life circumstances defeat her. None the less in the year 2000 she was diagnoses with Parkinson, where she had to make many life changes and accommodation. She prevailed the upmost difficult time of her life by giving back to her family and church. As the Parkinson process it took over her body and degenerate her ability to care for herself and others.
Simone is survived by her brothers and sisters, adopted children and nieces and nephews. The most important part of her legacy was for us to care for one another, appreciate life, never live with regrets, and bring peace and unity in our homes.
Simone touch and gave the opportunity to many people during her life on earth and will be miss by all. We are all taking a piece of her magnificent heart in each one of us.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will take place on Friday, August 5, 2016, from 6:00 PM-9:00 PM at Serenity Memorial Chapels, located at 5229 Coconut Creek Parkway, Margate, Florida 33063. (754)205-4640
Wake service will take place at 7:00 PM during the service.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM, at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, 1400 South State Road 7 (441), North Lauderdale, FL 33068.
Burial to follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.
