Sue Troxel

Sue Anne Troxel, 71, of Davie Florida went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday Feb. 2, 2025. She was born on Oct. 31, 1953 in Bluffton Indiana to Edward and Viola Gerber. She married her lifelong friend, Sid Troxel on April 15, 1989.

Surviving are Sue’s husband, Sid, and their three daughters, Andrea (Tyler) Geer, Marisa, and Megan (Taylor) Moreno, three grandchildren, Amelia, Leo and Cole Geer, her sister Faye (Mike) Hohulin, and many other family and friends who loved her with all their hearts. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Sue served others as a Special Education teacher before joining her Dad in the family business. She returned to teaching at Weston Christian Academy where she finished her career serving the school and church by coordinating technology. 

Sue lived life fully, loving the people around her deeply and well with acts of service and quality time. Sue and Sid walked life together with joy and passion, delighting in raising their three daughters and teaching them about Jesus. Sue enjoyed having her kids and grandkids around, hosting meals, games, and special activities for everyone. 

Sue was deeply involved in her church and her small group and taught faithfully at the Wednesday night kids’ program. 

Sue also loved to play, from skiing and hiking, to tennis and pickleball. She was up for a good challenge whether throwing a football, playing games, or being strategically competitive. She was also an avid reader.

Sue had a deep and personal relationship with her Savior, spending time with Him through reading the Word and memorizing Scripture. In her retirement, Sue savored the extra time in the mornings to be with Jesus, and now she is with him face to face.
