Susan Peace Spinozzi passed away on Easter Sunday 2013 surrounded by her children: Marianne, Cliff, Anthony and Diane. Born on August 15th 1918 on the Holy Day of the Virgin Mary's Assumption and baptized as the Bells of Peace rung announcing the end of World War I, she led a blessed life.
As the third child of an Italian family in East Boston, she spent her childhood dancing, laughing and singing with her large extended family. It was at a dance that she caught the eye of Angelo, her husband for more than 60 years. Their chemistry was obvious every time they hit the dance floor. Our Nana was light on her feet, elegant, a lady in every way. She gave unconditionally to her family and especially her grandchildren and greatchildren. Babies were her joy and God blessed her with a constant stream: Tina, Susan, Mathew, Isabella, Jeremy, Paul, Lucas, Stella and Oliver.
Susie's sunny spirit touched all who came in contact with her - her Club friends, her neighbors, her colleagues, her friends. Her gorgeous smile lit up any room. Even at 94, she dressed to the nines every morning and made us all proud to call her Ma, Nana or friend.
She is survived by her three children, Marianne, Anthony and Diane, and their families.
The funeral will be held on April 6th at 12:00 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery at 1500 S. State Rd 7, N Lauderdale, Florida 33068.
