William "Willie" Melendez

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of William "Willie" Melendez, a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend, who left us on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at the age of 69.

Born on May 14, 1955, in New York City, Willie was known for his infectious laughter, warm heart, and unwavering love for his family and friends. He had a remarkable ability to bring joy to those around him, always ready with a joke, a smile, or a kind word.

He is survived by his wife Carmen, his sons Alex and Jose "Junior", his brothers and sisters, and countless other family and friends who were blessed to know him. His pure love for life was evident in everything he did, turning even the simplest moments into cherished memories. 

A service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 4:00 pm at Serenity Funeral Home, 1450 S State Rd 7, North Lauderdale, FL 33068, where we will celebrate his life and the love he shared so freely. Flowers can be sent to 6158 Southgate Blvd. Margate, Florida 33068.

Though he may no longer walk among us, his laughter, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
