William Garland Schlesinger, (Will), was born to Heidi and David Schlesinger on October 1, 1991, in Houston, Texas. William, a resident of North Lauderdale, Florida, passed away on November 15, 2016. He was 25 years old.
William was the cherished son of David Schlesinger; loving brother to both Daniel Schlesinger and Jonathon Hamilton; sweet grandson of Thelma Schlesinger and a very special nephew to Barry and Virginia Schlesinger.
Even at the early age of 5 years, William displayed athletic talent playing T-ball. He played with the Little League for years and received many awards, including the Champion Senior Allstars Award in 2011. Will was a pitcher; and also played short stop and 1st base. He was known as a "power hitter", with a "big swing", as well as for his fast ball. He was a dedicated player, and was often heard saying: "go hard or go home".
William was employed over the past few years in various food establishments in the local community, and most recently, prior to his passing, was employed as a legal assistant.
William will be remembered as a quiet young man, who following in the family tradition of his grandfather Leonard (deceased), was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed many hours of fishing with his father David and his brothers, over the years. He will be greatly missed.
