Mr. Willie Lee Jenkins Jr. was born on April 21, 1962, in Fort Myers, Florida to the union of Lillian Thurman Jenkins and Willie Jenkins Sr.
He graduated from North Fort Myers Senior High in June 1980 where his athletic standout got him a full basketball scholarship to St. Leo College in Dade City, Florida. He graduated from St. Leo College in May 1984 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. After college he begin working for the state of Florida as a Correctional Probation Officer.
On Tuesday afternoon October 4, 2016, God almighty, gently whispered to our dear Willie, “Servant of God well done, rest thy loved employ: The battle’s fought, the victory’s won, enter the Master’s joy.” Obeying, Willie Lee Jenkins Jr. went home to rest forever in the bosom of his Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his father Willie Lee Jenkins Sr. and his sister Wilhemia Jenkins.
To forever cherish his memories are his loving three sons: Travis Jenkins, Alex Jenkins, and Darren Jenkins; one special sweet grandson, Maxwell Jenkins; his devoted mother Lillian Jenkins: eleven brothers and sisters: Lorenda Lane (Tim), Barbara Williams (Elijah), Debra Simpson (Andrew); Bernice, Teresa, Franklin, Alphonso, Marcus Jenkins (Karen), Claretha, Frederick and Donald Jenkins (Starr); also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and dear friends.
A Celebration of Life Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Bell's Funeral Home, 1826 North University Drive Pembroke Pines, FL 33024
Funeral Service will take place on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 10:00 AM, Oasis Church located at 12201 SW 14th St, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025.
