Yves was a humble and simple man. He was born to Aliette Richemond on October 22, 1969 in Brooklyn, NY. He attended St Francis of Assisi from 1-8th grade and then went on to attend Wingate High School. He relocated to Ft Lauderdale, FL in 1988.
He loved comic books & baseball cards from a very young age. He was also into taking electronics apart and trying to make them better to suit his needs. His ultimate passion was his love of music. He loved composing lyrics and rapping with instrumental background sounds. He found joy in sharing his videos and joining in with special friends to collaborate on this shared passion. A passion he had until the very end. He loved his family and although he was a bit quieter, his enormous smile lighted up the room when reuniting with any family member.
Yves was diagnosed with Schizophrenia in 1996 but with treatment he was able to manage the symptoms very well. But his battle with cancer during the last year truly showed his courage in facing challenges with dignity. Despite the pain, Yves tried his best to keep up with his daily activities as normal as possible. He stayed strong until he left this earthly life at the age of 54. He is survived by his mom Aliette, sister Yanick and his son Demontae.
As we mourn the loss of Yves Constant Jr., let us also celebrate his life and the generosity of his kind heart for those who he gave shelter to whether he knew them or not. May his memory continue to inspire acts of kindness and moments of connection among those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Though he may no longer be with us in person, he will live on forever in our hearts. May he rest in peace. He will be loved always by his mom, sister, family and friends.
